Dorrington House Dereham’s Summer Fete 2018!
Dorrington House Dereham hosted our annual Summer Fete and BBQ, on the 18th August, which raised £402.32 for our friends of the home funds!
As with every year, Betty and Margaret who live in our close care flats, took charge of the tombola stall.
One of our health care assistants Francesca, brought her homemade cupcakes which were very popular, and there was also a chocolate finger cake available.
Friends and relatives were invited to guess the weight of the cake, for a chance to win a prize if they were the closest!
Our cook Sarah once again was in charge of the BBQ, cooking burgers and hotdogs for the hungry residents and fete attendees!
Our dining room was full of residents and relatives waiting for the draw of the raffle, there were many prizes to be won, thank you to all who purchased tickets, and all who helped out read the tickets and hand out prizes.
Our entertainment for the fete was a visit from Wymondham’s Ukulele group, performing well known tunes that residents, relatives and staff sang along to!
A special thanks to all our volunteers who helped out on the day, ensuring residents and relatives enjoyed the event, and further thanks to those who contributed to the money raised for friends of the home.
